David studied singing at the Birmingham Conservatoire.

Following several years in professional musical theatre, including one and a half happy in the German production of Cameron Mackintosh's Les Miserables as well as critically acclaimed performances in Chess, Half a Sixpence and Catharine (also singing on the original cast album), David now pursues a successful career in public relations while enjoying performances on the UK cabaret circuit. He has also performed his cabaret set Child's Play in Australia, including Sydney's celebrated venue The Basement.

Cabaret performances in the West End include the Jermyn St Theatre, No 3 Mayfair, The Cumberland Hotel Marble Arch and The Hilton, Park Lane.

Most recently, David was honoured to be asked to perform as a guest singer at a Christmas concert in Chester Cathedral, where he sang "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables alongside performers including Mathew Kelly and Jemma Redgrave.

David can be heard on the cast recordings of Catharine (German cast album), Merrick (London cast album), on his debut solo album Just for Fun and singing with Daniel Boys on Pirate Management's Shine on Down.
